When designing a logo for Amina Products, I started out sketching different typefaces. This on is based on pill shapes (nothing much to do with what Amina sell or do but I did it because I wanted to) as it isn't relevant I didn't use it for the product. I am however going to develop it into a full typeface. Excellent.

A swiss film about a girl who came from an egg that had wings instead of arms.. This is the logo that I designed for the title and has been used for the final poster, the only change is that I used a feather for the exclamation mark.
(Iep! is the noise a bird makes in switzerland)

The logo was designed by us and type face was chosen by us. This booklet was part of a series of design pieces, it was the only one we really got a say in. It was good experience with difficult clients.

This card has a perforated edge that allows each age to be torn off, so it can be sent at and kept for life, or until the recipient reaches 100.

This is a set of birthday cards, three using number and two using recipients within the family.
It's almost a satire piece on the disposable nature of birthday cards, but my intention was to create a collection of possible card ideas which can be reused or kept for life.
All cards have an area to write a message one.

This was just a quick piece because I wanted to use this close up of a painting my grandmother.. The poster is to promote an exhibition happening in August with a slip that goes over when the poster is folded down showing the paintings on sale with information and prices.. It's an initial idea and may use the slip idea for something else but I wanted to get a rough made so to have something to play with for a day!

This book is a collection of photographs of cancelled events so the content is empty seats. The seating was the inspiration behind the cover which is meant to mimic a chair.
It took about four attempts to get it right but it has turned out very comfortable looking and is nice to sit on!

The village where my grandmother which is mainly inhabited by dozens of cousins, once had a hotel, diary, doctors, bakers, petrol station and shop about 30 years ago, the only thing that remains is this petrol station, which is rarely open. I think it's a beautiful building, but it's sad that everything has closed down over time.

Proof, Letterpress

The final design of my response to the word Dummy, meaning mock up.
The design had to be changed from the below idea which was done on indesign due to availability of letters and the size of frames. The papers vary in colour and type, sugar paper and newsprint.
I've allowed the ink not to be even and solid and the paper to be of a cheaper quality because it is a dummy, not a final piece. I also used it as an opportunity to get experimental with type. I really like the outcome.
